Hello poppets!
I had the pleasure of delivering a couple of criminology classes at Laneway Learning in Melbourne. If you haven’t heard of them, Laneway Learning offers classes in just about anything people are willing and able to teach, all run independently. It’s such a fantastic community space for learning, and I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity.
What I Taught: White Collar Crime Through Popular Culture
My aim was to show in popular culture what White Collar Crime is. For example, an old Simpsons episode with a three eyed fish highlights environmental crime, which is a form of White Collar Crime.
Throwback to 2014: Technology Has Come a Long Way
Here’s the PDF of the presentation I delivered: White Collar Crime Laneway Learning 2014. It’s crazy to think how much technology has changed – the powerpoint was pretty swish at the time!
But hey, the fundamentals of White Collar Crime haven’t changed. It’s still just as relevant and important to talk about.
